Yardmax Rechargeable In-Ground Fence- Product review
Yardmax Rechargeable In-Ground Fence.
by Robert Hudson
Traditional fences warn your pet when they are a certain distance away from the fence. This reduces their play area, giving them a smaller place to run around.
Yardmax Rechargeable In-Ground Fence helps to maximize your pet’s play area by warning once they have crossed the buried wire. It covers around 1/3rd acre area to keep your pet safe and provide it with an endless boundary.
It is an ideal fence for a yard of any size and can give your four-legged friend 30 percent more room to play. Let’s find out the features of this disruptive in-ground fence.
Features of the Yardmax Rechargeable In-Ground Fence
The Yardmax rechargeable in-ground fence contains two modes: traditional and YardMax.
Yardmax Mode
In the YardMax mode, the pets receive correction at the boundary wall and not way before it. It includes a 500 ft wire that covers up a yard of ⅓ acres.
You can also purchase an additional wire separately if your yard is up to 10 acres.
Hence, the vast coverage fits most of the yards, and you can deploy it yourself.
Collar
Another essential is the receivable collar. It has an adjustable size from 6 to 28 inches. This is a waterproof and rechargeable collar that fits dogs that weigh 5 lbs or above.
These collars also have 5 progressive levels of static correction that help fit dogs with different sizes and temperaments. The tone-only mode keeps the dog safe and secure while they are playing.
The ReadyTest® checks if the dog’s collar works properly every time, and the PerfectFit® test is for knowing if it fits properly.

Safety Features of the YardMax Rechargeable In-Ground Fence
The Anti-Linger feature will give your dog a static correction the moment they keep lingering around the warning area for more than 2 seconds. This will alert them that they shouldn’t stay here for longer.
Before giving your dog a static correction, the collar will beep so the dog understands it should not cross this zone. This is an advantage over plastic collars for your dog’s and your property’s safety.
The stimulation stops automatically after 15 seconds. This is the safety time-out feature that gives the static correction only within a safe limit.
Though the Run Through prevention feature does increase the intensity of the static correction as the dog keeps getting closer to the boundary wall. This deters them from crossing it.
How Does YardMax Mode Differ From Traditional Mode?
In the traditional mode, you go as usual by creating a perimeter that your dog is contained in. It keeps them out of the off-limit areas such as the garden, pool, and flowerbed.
When the dog is near the warning zone, it beeps, and if they still do not turn around, it gives static correction.
However, in the YardMax mode, the correction zone only begins when they are crossing the boundary wire.
Hence, it maximizes the containment area, giving more play area to the dog, and since they perceive an endless correction zone, they do not run and cross the yard.
In-Ground Fence vs Wireless Fence?
Wireless fences have a circular boundary which is not fit for every yard. Though, they are easily set up while keeping your dog in a safe boundary.
Wireless fences have a transmitter and receiver collar, so it basically requires no maintenance.
On the other hand, In-ground fences are harder to install. They will require more time and effort.
Maintenance is also difficult because you may have to keep repairing a broken boundary wire.
However, they are easily customizable to fit your yard’s shape and size. Plus, the boundary is well-defined with great reception, unlike the wireless fences.
Summing Up
There are different types of dog collars available in the market. However, the Yardmax Rechargeable In-Ground Fence provides many benefits for your four-legged best friend to occupy your yard space to the max.
As an owner, you can relax knowing that your pets will not cross the off-limit zones because they will receive the beeping signal or the static correction timely.
