by Debbie Garcia-Bengochea, Peggy Frezon
Mini Horse Mighty Hope introduces you to Gentle Carousel Miniature Therapy Horses, one of the largest equine therapy programs in the world. experience moments of comfort, hope, healing, and even miracles as you follow these spirited mini horses on visits to children’s and veterans’ hospitals, victims of natural disasters, survivors of and first responders to mass shootings, and more. You will also get to know the founder of Gentle Carousel. She shares how the love of these marvelous little creatures has helped her navigate her own struggles and challenges.
I absolutely love this book and have been following Gentle Carousel Miniature Therapy Horses on Facebook for a few years now. When I heard the founder Debbie Garcia-Bengochea and Peggy Frezon wrote a book about the organization and the role these amazing creatures have in enriching the lives of people who need comfort, I knew I had to get this book. It is a wonderful and rewarding read.
The only negative I have is the photos are all small and black and white. It does not do justice to the beauty of these little horses. To see this you need to visit their social media.
The big take away is the relationship and bond humankind has with animals and the potential it has to change our world. This is particularly comforting in the times we are currently living in. If you crave this type of mantra then you will not be disappointed with this book.
