Juno the “Angry Cat” Has a Face you Cannot Forget
Juno the angry cat
by Robert Hudson
The Internet has had Grumpy Cat and several since that seem to have an expression of anger or something sinister, but Juno really stands out above the rest.
“Its everything…the eyes are piercing and his facial expressions- well they almost look human!” a fan Richard Fey told me.
And then there is his gorgeous coat.
Dominique, his guardian told me he weighs 11 pounds under all that hair, “We try to brush him anytime we see or feel a knot forming. He loves having his beard brushed, but hates it on the rest of his body”.
The most frequently asked question is what breed is he. “Juno is a Himalayan Mix.” 25% Burmese and 75% Himalayan.
Dominique doesn’t dress him up in silly costumes or take goofy pics. That’s not Juno’s jam. She does sometimes give him horns or a curly moustache that only enhances his image as someone not to trifle with!
A real love bug
Believe it or not, he is actually a love bug. “He is extremely chill and loves to meet people. Anytime someone comes to our house he will wait next to them until he gets a pet” said Dominique. “Juno has a very laid back personality and will come to you for attention on his own terms. Most of the time he looks like he is judging you from afar”.
Its been a fun journey. “Back in December of 2016 I decided to start an Instagram page for him as a joke. Little did I realize he was considered very unique to people online. His page grew very quickly and that was when I knew he was going to be a star”.
Juno’s pack
Juno is not alone. He has a pack. Juno (@junotheangrycat), 8 years old. Leo (@officiallordleo), 7 years old. Jazz, 6 years old. Ringo, 2 years old. Rue (@ruemeows), 3.5 months old. Gracie, she’s 11 years old & a Maltipoo!
Rue is the latest addition to the family. A British Shorthair kitten.
“All of the cats get along, but Juno is definitely the dominant male of the house which totally fits with him being a star.”
We all have our quirks. “When he plays at night he makes the funniest noise, it sounds like he’s saying ‘hellooo helloo.’ The first time he did it at our house in the middle of the night I woke up thinking someone was calling out to see if we were home. Turns out it was just Juno playing with a spring toy. His facial expressions always make me laugh, I look across the room and there he is judging away. Every night when my mom goes to bed he runs to her room and jumps onto her pillow. Creature of habit, some may say, but it makes me laugh every time. “
What can we see in the future from Juno?
“Growth of his friendship with our new British Shorthair kitten, Rue & more scolding looks.”
