Jada, a British shorthair cat in Brookfield, Connecticut,  has become a nurse for a newborn Chihuahua after the Mother had a C section and could not produce milk to nurse the puppy.

Jada recently gave birth to a litter of kittens at the The Complete Cat Veterinary Clinic, and after consulting with her colleagues, Dr Sharon Eisen determined dog milk and cat milk shared enough in common for the puppy to nurse from the cat.

The puppy has been named Lazarus.
