Bow-Tye and Finnie-Bean

by Robert Hudson
Part of my daily routine is first thing in the morning I tune into Facebook to get my cute fix from my favorite dog and cat pages. My most recent favorite is the page of Bow-Tye and Finnie-Bean- two little dogs in Tennessee that shine with southern charm. In these strange times of discord and strife, the pure joy of these two is a welcome pleasure.

Bow-Tye is the star of the page while Finnie-Bean is his trusty side-kick. “Bow makes you smile by just being with him. The first time I met him he stood on his hind legs and hugged my leg. . He still does that every time I come home,” Pam Heyer, the dogs proud Mom told me.

Finnie is five years old and a pure bred Briewer Terrier, and Bow is seven years old and his breed…well…”Bow-it depends on who you ask- when we adopted him he was listed as a Bichon mix, and his first groom said he was a Havineese mix, and his vet says Laso mix. We say he is he own special breed and that is Bow-Tye.”

The Community
You get the sense the page has a feeling of community, and really cares deeply about these dogs well being. Bow was recently mauled in a dog attack and the support from fans has been an outpouring.
“Hey there cutie little Finnie Bean.. glad Sweetie Bow Tye is doing well.. I’m sending much love cuddles and snuggles your way to both of you.. you and your folks stay safe and well.. night night precious “

“It is always great that no matter how crappy my day is or how great my day is, I always have these 2 little creatures. All they want from me is to love them”, exclaimed Pam
