Rubble is a beautiful long haired Maine Coon, who has now celebrated his 30th birthday in Exeter, Devon, United Kingdom, under the care of Michele Foster.
On her 20th birthday, Foster who is now 50, picked out the little orange fur ball from a litter of kittens a family friend offered as a birthday present to herself. It came at a time when she was feeling alone and isolated. They have had a bond now for 30 years.
Rubble has not gotten official recognition from any record books and is unlikely to.
“He’s a lovely cat, although he has got a little grumpy in his old age,” stated Foster. “He has plenty of life left in him yet, but I don’t think we will go down the Guinness World Record route as I am not sure he would like lots of people coming to see him or a fuss being made out of him.”
“He is old now,” Foster went on to explain, “and would not like too much attention or be hassled. We would prefer if he was just left to live out his old age in peace.”
