Little Dog Recovering From Being Hit By a Train

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – One dog is lucky to be alive on Sunday after being hit by a train on Saturday evening.

After being hit by the train sometime Saturday in Sibley, Mo., “Poppy” was transported to Great Plains SPCA’s Independence Campus for emergency medical care.

Doctors there were able to stabilize and treat the dog’s injuries. Poppy suffered a shattered femur, shoulder injury and her ear was damaged badly in the accident.

A search is under way for the owners of Poppy.
