Leaving it untidy will be one sure way of attracting different types of diseases. The drawbacks of adopting both the cat and the dog at the same time should not scare you off. You should go ahead and bring them home. After all, many people have successfully adopted the two pets and living with them happily. They also look adorable especially when they live together in harmony. During the first days, the there will be some level of hostility between the two pets. A dog that has predatory behavior will have a habit of chasing the cat around. To deal with this problem, minimize the hours which the pets see each other. You should also monitor their initial interaction.
4. Mark the territories
In addition to supervising the pets, another measure that you can take while you are still introducing the pets is to mark their territories. Keeping them loose can result in tragic incidence. Since the cat is always mobile, the easiest thing that you can do is to lock up the dog in a safe area where it will have minimum interaction with the cat. Lock them up in different rooms, or you can keep them in different crates. This method is suitable if you are busy in your career whereby you only spend a few hours at home.

You should take care of the health of your pets. Since the cat’s health is directly related to the level of hygiene, you should use the best pet cleaning products that are available in the market.
