Dr. Patrick Mahaney is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA) and earned his certification after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine (1999) and completed an internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, D.C (2000).
Dr Mahaney makes house calls with the emphasis on pain management through acupuncture and musculoskeletal therapy, also advises on pet-safe environmental changes, recommends dietary modifications, prescribes medications, dispenses supplements and Chinese herbs, communicates with your regular veterinarian or specialist, and provides euthanasia services (when needed).
He also work with local Los Angeles rescue organizations to help those pets that have been given a second chance to live healthier lives. I’m currently sharing my perspective on companion animal care at my National Pet Care Examiner column, Perez Hilton’s pet-centric website TeddyHilton.com, and The Daily Vet on petMD.
Dr Mahaney will be on the Pet Radio Show June 1, 2013
